This lot contains four bottles of Taittinger Brut Réserve Champagne, which we estimate were bottled in the 2010s.
Taittinger was founded in 1734 by businessman Jacques Fourneaux, who worked closely with the Benedictine monks responsible for the development of grape growing and winemaking in the Champagne region. Based in Reims their flagship wine is the 100% Chardonnay Comtes de Champagne. In 2017, Taittinger planted its first vines in the English county of Kent, for a venture into English sparkling wine.
This is a mature Non-Vintage Champagne, a bottle of which has been tasted by the auction team for suitability. It is bought entirely at the bidder's own risk, and is only recommended for lovers of mature Champagne.

The Whisky.Auction team has inspected this lot and found it to be suitable for sale. However, please note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing. We cannot guarantee that the contents of this bottle will be free from the effects of age, cork taint, oxidation or other faults. Older bottles often contain sediment. Wines are more fragile than spirits and older wines may be listed, at our discretion, for their historical interest rather than their drinkability. We can in no way guarantee that they are still within their plateau of maturity or to the buyer’s taste.
This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
