Description

A bottle of Taylors 1986 Quinta de Vargellas single quinta port, bottled in 1988 by Taylor, Fladgate & Yeatman.

Quinta de Vargellas is both a very highly regarded estate when released in its own right as a single quinta wine and the key contributor, giving fragrance and tannic backbone, to Taylor's fully-fledged vintage wines. Located in the eastern hills of the Douro valley, its excellent reputation was noted as far back as the 1820s.

This lot comes from the cellar of our Whisky Exchange colleague; author, wine educator and fortified wine authority, the late Godfrey Spence.

This 1986 Taylors Quinta De Vargellas sold at our online auction for £60

Condition

Please see images for fill level and label condition. Note minor damage to the labels. The cork is slightly raised by approximately 1-2mm.This appears to have a good fill level and weighs approximately 1.34kg.

The Whisky.Auction team has inspected this lot and found it to be suitable for sale.
