A bottle of Croft 1977 vintage port.
Founded in 1588, Croft is the oldest firm still active today as a port producer. The cornerstone of Croft’s distinctive house style is the famous Quinta da Roêda, which includes some of the oldest vineyards in the Douro Valley and forms the core of Croft’s vintage port blend.
Please see images for fill level and label condition. Note general wear. This appears to have a good fill level as it weights 1.35 kg.
The Whisky.Auction team has inspected this lot and found it to be suitable for sale. However, please note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing. We cannot guarantee that the contents of this bottle will be free from the effects of age, cork taint, oxidation or other faults. Older bottles often contain sediment. Wines are more fragile than spirits and older wines may be listed, at our discretion, for their historical interest rather than their drinkability. We can in no way guarantee that they are still within their plateau of maturity or to the buyer’s taste.
This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
