This lot contains six bottles of Lanson Black Label Brut Champagne, disgorged in 2013.
Lanson is one of the oldest Champagne houses and was founded in 1760 by François Delamotte, with the Lanson name itself coming into use in 1837. The house is one of relatively few to block the malolactic fermentation of the wine, resulting in a particularly long-lived style, even for their Non-Vintages.
This is a mature Non-Vintage Champagne, a bottle of which has been tasted by the auction team for suitability. It is bought entirely at the bidder's own risk, and is only recommended for lovers of mature Champagne.

The Whisky.Auction team has inspected this lot and found it to be suitable for sale. However, please note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing. We cannot guarantee that the contents of this bottle will be free from the effects of age, cork taint, oxidation or other faults. Older bottles often contain sediment. Wines are more fragile than spirits and older wines may be listed, at our discretion, for their historical interest rather than their drinkability. We can in no way guarantee that they are still within their plateau of maturity or to the buyer’s taste.
This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
