Description

A Prohibition era Medicinal Liquor Prescription, dated on 28th January 1931. Prescription for Spirits Frumenti, the US pharmaceutical term for Whisky. This was the only legal way to drink liquor in the US at the time.

This was issued under the authority of the National Prohibition Act by the Treasury Department with a Prohibition watermark. On verso the instructions to retaining and returning the original and duplicate of the prescription for Federal records.
