Bottle Auction

Description

This lot contains eight bottles of Warre's 1966 vintage port. Described by Michael Broadbent MW in 2002 as a five star wine from a marvellous vintage, 'a wine with suppleness and a bit of a swagger.' The shipper and vintage are stated on the wax and embossed shoulder.

Please note, these bottles have no size or ABV stated on the labels but these appear to be 75cl bottles.

This 1966 Warre's Vintage Port sold at our online auction for £400

Condition

Please see images for fill level and label condition. Note general wear and damage to labels. These bottles have wax seals. Please note, we cannot guarantee these will not deteriorate or crack if shipped, and they are shipped entirely at the buyer's own risk.

The Whisky.Auction team has inspected this lot and found it to be suitable for sale. However, please note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing. Older bottles often contain small amounts of sediment. We cannot guarantee that the contents of this bottle will be free from the effects of age, cork taint, oxidation or other faults.

This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
