This lot contains twelve bottles of Warre's 1966 vintage port. Described by Michael Broadbent MW in 2002 as a five star wine from a marvellous vintage, 'a wine with suppleness and a bit of a swagger.' The shipper and vintage are stated on the wax and embossed shoulder.
Please note, these bottles have no size or ABV stated on the labels, but these appear to be 75cl bottles.
Please see images for fill level and label condition. Please note damage to the closure. This bottle has a wax seal. Please note, we cannot guarantee this will not deteriorate or crack if shipped, and it is shipped entirely at the buyer's own risk.
The Whisky.Auction team has inspected this lot and found it to be suitable for sale. However, please note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing. We cannot guarantee that the contents of this bottle will be free from the effects of age, cork taint, oxidation or other faults. Older bottles often contain sediment. Wines are more fragile than spirits and older wines may be listed, at our discretion, for their historical interest rather than their drinkability. We can in no way guarantee that they are still within their plateau of maturity or to the buyer’s taste.
This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
