A bottle of 1990 Dom Pérignon vintage Champagne from Möet & Chandon. This was the first vintage produced by Cellar Master Richard Geoffroy, who worked for Moet & Chandon for 28 years in the role until 2019.
'Fully mature, very rich nose. It was served blind and I guessed it was even older than 1990. Toasty nose and then frisky on the palate. Notably dry finish after quite a sweet palate. Into the phase of tasting like quince. Pungent. Very interesting. 18.5/20' JancisRobinson.com, 2016

The Whisky.Auction team has inspected this lot and found it to be suitable for sale. However, please note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing. We cannot guarantee that the contents of this bottle will be free from the effects of age, cork taint, oxidation or other faults. Older bottles often contain sediment. Wines are more fragile than spirits and older wines may be listed, at our discretion, for their historical interest rather than their drinkability. We can in no way guarantee that they are still within their plateau of maturity or to the buyer’s taste.
This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
