Description

This lot contains a rare wooden case from Hundred Hills signed by Chef Clare Smyth of Core and a selection of other three star Michelin starred chefs who prepared sensational dishes at the 2024 Bocuse d’Or UK gala dinner. The case features a bottle of the rare 2018 Rosé de Saignée from Hundred Hills, which with only 600 bottles produced, this highly acclaimed wine has now sold out. It is complemented by a bottle of the 2019 Blanc de Noirs from Hundred Hills, created from a rare single parcel from the Hillside vineyard, this wine boasts intense layers of red fruit; macerated strawberry, raspberries, red apple and Morello cherries. Finally the case features a bottle of the 2018 Blanc de Blancs, with white floral aromas emerging accompanied by rich lemons, limes and yuzu, a landmark wine for Hundred Hills and English Blanc de Blancs made without malolactic fermentation.

Condition

Please see images for fill level and label condition. Note general wear.

The Whisky.Auction team has inspected this lot and found it to be suitable for sale. However, please note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing. We cannot guarantee that the contents of this bottle will be free from the effects of age, cork taint, oxidation or other faults. Older bottles often contain sediment. Wines are more fragile than spirits and older wines may be listed, at our discretion, for their historical interest rather than their drinkability. We can in no way guarantee that they are still within their plateau of maturity or to the buyer’s taste.

This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
