A bottle of André Clouet Un Jour De 1911..., a multi-vintage Pinot Noir blend from the Grand Cru village of Bouzy.
'...combines maturity, complexity and finesse with intensity and elegance on the nose as well as the palate. It is a powerful and rich Champagne but very fine and balanced with a great freshness and a complex length. It is juicy and intense but also very delicate, its mineral tension and persistent finish make it a first choice wine for elaborate dishes. A great Champagne, with a label that doesn’t give more details about the vintages or the
disgorgement date, but we know that it is always a 50/50 blend of three vintages (including a great vintage of at least 10 years) and reserve wines from a solera system. 96/100' Robert M.Parker Jnr.

The Whisky.Auction team has inspected this lot and found it to be suitable for sale. However, please note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing. We cannot guarantee that the contents of this bottle will be free from the effects of age, cork taint, oxidation or other faults. Older bottles often contain sediment. Wines are more fragile than spirits and older wines may be listed, at our discretion, for their historical interest rather than their drinkability. We can in no way guarantee that they are still within their plateau of maturity or to the buyer’s taste.
This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
