Description

This lot contains six bottle of Corton-Pougets Grand Cru 2003 from Louis Jadot in the Original Wooden Box.

The Pougets Grand Cru is made up of two parcels covering ten hectares on the upper and mid slope adjacent to the Le Charlemagne climat. Jadot owns a 1.5 hectare southerly-exposed parcel purchased in 1914.

'This is slightly more elegant and fresher still with really pretty earthy and ripe red pinot fruit that also merge seamlessly into sweet, mineral-driven and precise moderately full flavors that are beautifully textured and well detailed on the strikingly persistent, ever so slightly dry finish. This is unquestionably a stylish wine by the standards of the vintage and this will require at least a decade to come into its own.
