This lot contains a case of twelve bottles of 1987 Don Melchor Private Reserve Cabernet Reserve from the Puente Alto vineyard in the Maipo Valley. Don Melchor is the flagship wine from Concha y Toro, named after the founder of the estate, Don Melchor de Concha y Toro, who created the company in 1883.
This lot came from the temperature-controlled cellar of the original UK importer of Concha Y Toro wines who was active in the trade until the early 1990s.

The Whisky.Auction team has inspected this lot and found it to be suitable for sale. However, please note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing. We cannot guarantee that the contents of this bottle will be free from the effects of age, cork taint, oxidation or other faults. Older bottles often contain sediment. Wines are more fragile than spirits and older wines may be listed, at our discretion, for their historical interest rather than their drinkability. We can in no way guarantee that they are still within their plateau of maturity or to the buyer’s taste.
This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
