Description

A bottle of The Macallan Thirties Single Highland Malt Scotch Whisky bottled for the Travel Series.

This was created by The Macallan's Master Distiller to re-create the style of whisky produced at the distillery in the 1930s. The Spanish civil war meant that sherry casks were in short supply, and increased demand for coal led the distillery to revert to using peat to dry the barley. The style is drier and peatier than The Macallan we know today.
