McCallum's Perfection Bottled 1930s - US Import 2 x 4.7cl / 43.4%

This lot contains two miniature bottles of McCallum's Perfection Scots Whisky, bottled by D & J McCallum and sealed with a driven cork. We estimate these were bottled in the 1930s.

The back label reads: Special Notice - The widespread substitution of 'Perfection' other than ours has rendered it necessary to emphasis the name McCallum and consequently to re-design our label in such fashion as can be more fully protected by law, Although the get-up is changed the contents are still 'Perfection'.

D & J McCallum was established by brothers and innkeepers Duncan and John McCallum in Edinburgh in 1807. The inn grew to a shop and warehouse and the company released the McCallum's Perfection blend in 1911. The original inn was destroyed in a bombing raid during World War I. The company became part of Distillers Company Limited in 1937, and the DCL-owned Cragganmore distillery was licenced to D & J McCallum.
