A bottle of Krug 1966, Duty Free For Export Only.
Krug Champagne is a Champagne house founded by Joseph Krug in 1853. It is based principally in Reims, the main city in France’s Champagne region, and is one of the famous Champagne houses that formed part of the Grande Marques. Today, the house is majority owned by LVMH, but despite this, the Krug family is still actively involved in all the key decisions of the house.
There is no size or ABV visible on the label, but this appears to be 75cl bottle.
Please see images for fill level and label condition. Note damage to the label, capsule and wire. This may have leaked in the past but is not currently leaking: we recommend this for collection only, and cannot guarantee it will not leak further if shipped - it is done so entirely at the buyer's own risk.
The Whisky.Auction team has inspected this lot and found it to be suitable for sale. However, please note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing. We cannot guarantee that the contents of this bottle will be free from the effects of age, cork taint, oxidation or other faults. Older bottles often contain sediment. Wines are more fragile than spirits and older wines may be listed, at our discretion, for their historical interest rather than their drinkability. We can in no way guarantee that they are still within their plateau of maturity or to the buyer’s taste.
This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
