Barnett & Fils 3 Star Bottled 1930s-1940s 70cl / 40%
A bottle of Barnett & Fils 3 Star Cognac. The label reads, Guaranteed over three years of age and to be the distillation of the fermented juice of fresh grapes produced in the Cognac area. Imported and distributed under the authority of His Majesty's Government. We estimate this was bottled in the 1930s to 1940s.
Please note, there is no size sated on the labels, but this appears to be a 70cl bottle.
Please see images for fill level and label condition. Note damage to the label. Due to the fragility of the cork we recommend this for collection only, and it is shipped entirely at the buyer's own risk
The Whisky.Auction team has inspected this lot and found it to be suitable for sale. However, please note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing. Older bottles often contain small amounts of sediment. We cannot guarantee that the contents of this bottle will be free from the effects of age, cork taint, oxidation or other faults.
This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
