A bottle of Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque 2004 Brut Rose Champagne.
'50% pinot noir from the Montagne de Reims, 45% chardonnay from Cramant and Avize, and 5% pinot meunier from Dizy; 9% of the red wine component was still red wine; 8 g/l of dosage; L339110774 11:20): Pale, vivid orange. Sexy flower- and spice-tinged red berry and citrus fruit aromas are complemented by hints of buttery brioche, anise and musky herbs. Sappy and penetrating on the palate, offering intense blood orange, strawberry and musky rhubarb flavors. A toasty, leesy quality come up on the finish, which clings with impressive tenacity and alluring sweetness.93/100' Josh Raynolds, International Wine Cellar, December 2013

The Whisky.Auction team has inspected this lot and found it to be suitable for sale. However, please note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing. We cannot guarantee that the contents of this bottle will be free from the effects of age, cork taint, oxidation or other faults. Older bottles often contain sediment. Wines are more fragile than spirits and older wines may be listed, at our discretion, for their historical interest rather than their drinkability. We can in no way guarantee that they are still within their plateau of maturity or to the buyer’s taste.
This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
