A bottle of 1979 Graham's Malvedos Single Quinta Vintage Port, bottled in 1981.
Quinta dos Malvedos is a 163 hectare property of predominantly south-facing vineyards that have formed the cornerstone of Graham’s Vintage Ports ever since it was acquired by the Symingtons in 1890. It takes its name from the rapids in front of the house, known as 'os Malvedos', which existed there before the Douro River was dammed in the early 1960s.
Malvedos still contains large areas of traditional terraced vineyards supported by 18th century dry-stone walls.

The Whisky.Auction team has inspected this lot and found it to be suitable for sale. However, please note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing. We cannot guarantee that the contents of this bottle will be free from the effects of age, cork taint, oxidation or other faults. Older bottles often contain sediment. Wines are more fragile than spirits and older wines may be listed, at our discretion, for their historical interest rather than their drinkability. We can in no way guarantee that they are still within their plateau of maturity or to the buyer’s taste.
This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
