A bottle of Dow's 2001 Quinta do Bomfim single quinta Vintage Port, bottled in 2003 by Symington Family Estates.
Dow’s was one of the first Port companies to recognise the importance of vineyard ownership in Port production, with Quinta do Bomfim considered to be one of the finest properties in the Douro valley. Acquired in 1896, it is the oldest quinta (or wine farm) in continuous ownership and forms the heart of all Dow's full Vintage Ports, or as a stand alone bottling - as is the case here - in intervening years.
