An 18cl bottle of Acqua di Arquebuse from Italian producer Roberto Moroni. We estimate this was bottled in the 1950s.
The Arquebuse, derived from the German Hackenbüchse, was a form of long gun that appeared in in Europe during the 15th Century. A herbal extract was created by monks from a monastery in St-Antoine (Vercors) to help treat soldiers' injuries including those inflicted by the Arquebuse long gun, from which that extract took its name.
