A bottle of Domaine Coche-Dury 2008 Corton-Charlemagne from one of Burgundy's most celebrated hillside vineyards.
Sometimes referred to as 'the Chablis of the Cote d'Or' for its ability to combine power and flesh with a purer, minerally edge more readily associated with wines from cooler, more northerly vineyards. Corton-Charlemagne is named after the Holy Roman Emperor Charlemagne, who once owned the hill of Corton on which the vineyards now rest.
This is bottle number 00241.
Please see images for fill level and label condition. Note damage to the labels. The bottom left hand corner of the label has come unstuck at the edge.
The Whisky.Auction team has inspected this lot and found it to be suitable for sale. However, please note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing. We cannot guarantee that the contents of this bottle will be free from the effects of age, cork taint, oxidation or other faults. Older bottles often contain sediment. Wines are more fragile than spirits and older wines may be listed, at our discretion, for their historical interest rather than their drinkability. We can in no way guarantee that they are still within their plateau of maturity or to the buyer’s taste.
This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
