A bottle of 1997 Torcalato dessert wine from Breganze in the foothills of the Dolomite mountains northwest of Venice. It is made from a blend of indigenous Vespaiola, Garganega and Tocai grapes, which are dried for four to five months prior to fermentation in stainless steel tanks and ageing in barriques (one third new) for 18 months.

We cannot guarantee that the contents of this bottle will be free from the effects of age, cork taint, oxidation or other faults. Older bottles often contain sediment. Wines are more fragile than spirits and older wines may be listed, at our discretion, for their historical interest rather than their drinkability. We can in no way guarantee that they are still within their plateau of maturity or to the buyer’s taste.
This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
