A bottle of 1988 Carruades de Lafite Rothschild, the second wine of Château Lafite Rothschild from Bordeaux's Pauillac appellation.

Carruades de Lafite is stylistically very similar to the Grand Vin itself, but with a higher proportion of Merlot and the inclusion of specific plots used for its production. The name comes from the 'plateau des Carruades', a set of blocks to the rear of the Château itself, which were acquired in 1845.
