This lot contains two bottles of 2015 Ao Yun Cabernet Sauvignon produced from 30 hectares of vines from four villages in Deqin county in the northwest corner of China's Yunnan province.
Ao Yun was the brainchild of Christophe Navarre, the CEO of Moët Hennessy, who set out to develop a premium Chinese wine in conjunction with Australian winemaker Tony Jordan in 2009, with the brand's name translating to 'flying above the clouds', a reference to the clouds that cap the summits of the Himalayan mountains.
These bottles come in ornate wooden presentation boxes.
Please see images for fill level and label condition. Note general wear. Please note, one of the capsules has been slightly marked by the neck restraint of the presentation box.
The Whisky.Auction team has inspected this lot and found it to be suitable for sale. However, please note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing. We cannot guarantee that the contents of this bottle will be free from the effects of age, cork taint, oxidation or other faults. Older bottles often contain sediment. Wines are more fragile than spirits and older wines may be listed, at our discretion, for their historical interest rather than their drinkability. We can in no way guarantee that they are still within their plateau of maturity or to the buyer’s taste.
This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
