Description

A bottle of Taylors 1987 Quinta de Vargellas Single Quinta Port, bottled in 1989 by Taylor, Fladgate & Yeatman, winner of a Gold medal in the 2000 London International Wine Challenge.

Vargellas is located in the hilly eastern reaches of the Douro valley and has had a reputation since the 1820s for producing wines of immense fragrance and sinewy tannins, making them a key component to Taylor's Vintage Ports.

The original part of Quinta de Vargellas forms a steep, north facing amphitheatre of terraced vineyards above the River Douro.
