A bottle of Saint Joseph Blanc Les Granits 2019 from Michel Chapoutier.
Les Granits blanc was first produced in 1995 from 100% old vine Marsanne picked largely from vineyards planted in the 1930s and 1940s.
'Orange marmalade, quince, salty minerality, white flowers, celery seed, and a touch of spice all emerge from the 2019 Saint Joseph Les Granits Blanc, which comes from one of the top terroirs in the appellation. Playing in the more full-bodied end of the spectrum, this incredible Saint-Joseph Blanc has a rounded, layered texture, a terrific sense of freshness and purity, classic Marsanne structure, and a great finish. It's certainly in the same realm as the 2018 and I'll be a buyer. 98/100' Jeb Dunnuck, 2020

The Whisky.Auction team has inspected this lot and found it to be suitable for sale. However, please note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing. We cannot guarantee that the contents of this bottle will be free from the effects of age, cork taint, oxidation or other faults. Older bottles often contain sediment. Wines are more fragile than spirits and older wines may be listed, at our discretion, for their historical interest rather than their drinkability. We can in no way guarantee that they are still within their plateau of maturity or to the buyer’s taste.
This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
