Chateau Pichon Longueville Comtesse De Lalande Grand Cru Classe 75cl / 12.5%
A bottle of Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande, a 'Super Second' growth from Bordeaux's Pauillac appellation. This has a badly wine stained label, and the vintage is not visible on the label, but the cork suggests this is from 1976.
The 84 hectares estate is planted with 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc and 8% Petit Verdot, and produces around 450,000 bottles per year.
Please see images for fill level and label condition. Note general wear. This has a badly wine stained label.
The Whisky.Auction team has inspected this lot and found it to be suitable for sale. However, please note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing. We cannot guarantee that the contents of this bottle will be free from the effects of age, cork taint, oxidation or other faults. Older bottles often contain sediment. Wines are more fragile than spirits and older wines may be listed, at our discretion, for their historical interest rather than their drinkability. We can in no way guarantee that they are still within their plateau of maturity or to the buyer’s taste.
This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
