Description

A bottle of Gattinara Luigi Caldi made from Nebbiolo grapes (known locally by the synonym 'Spanna') in Alto Piemonte, 100 kilometres north of Barolo. Gattinara was awarded DOC status in 1967 and DOCG classification in 1990.

Please note, the vintage label is missing, but this is believed to be from the 1980s.
