Description

A 50cl bottle of 1996 Fondillon from Spain's Alicante region. This is a historic unfortified wine style made from fully ripe bunches of destemmed Monastrell (Mourvèdre) grapes harvested from 60 year old vines which are slowly fermented to retain 40 grams per litre of residual sugar. The wine is then aged for over 20 years in 1730 litre old American oak barrels.
