A bottle of Château Petit Village 2013 from the region of Pomerol. 2013 saw the smallest crop in Bordeaux since 1991.
'Barrel sample. Spicy and fresh, with lovely bright fruit qualities, the cedary notes pleasing too. Creamy red berries and cherries, the savoury charter is lovely, it retains some freshness, not hardness to the tannins, the elegant, floral and spice character is very promising. 91/100' Tom Canavan, January 2014.

The Whisky.Auction team has inspected this lot and found it to be suitable for sale. However, please note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing. We cannot guarantee that the contents of this bottle will be free from the effects of age, cork taint, oxidation or other faults. Older bottles often contain sediment. Wines are more fragile than spirits and older wines may be listed, at our discretion, for their historical interest rather than their drinkability. We can in no way guarantee that they are still within their plateau of maturity or to the buyer’s taste.
This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
