A bottle of Remy Martin Louis XIII Cognac, presented in a Baccarat crystal decanter with stopper. This is composed of Grande Champagne eaux-de-vie aged between 40 and 100 years and is presented in a crystal decanter. We estimate this was bottled in the 1970s.
The neck tag reads: This decanter is the exact replica of a bottle discovered on the site of the Battle of Jarnac, which took place in 1569 between Catholics led by the Duke of Anjou and Protestants led by the Prince of Condé. The original bottle was found on the battle site, and acquired by Monsieur Rémy Martin at the beginning of this century. Reproductions of this decanter were then used the contain the very rare Cognacs by Rémy Martin for different royal families.
This is decanter number 131047.
Please note, there is no size or ABV stated on the labels but this appears to be a 70cl bottle.
Please note one of the glass fins has broken.
Please see images for fill level and label condition. Note general wear and damage to the bottle.
