Chateau De Pommard 2019 Clos Marey-Monge 75cl / 14%
A bottle of 2019 Château de Pommard Clos Marey-Monge.
Pommard is regarded as the most robust, structured red wine appellation in Burgundy's Côte de Beaune.
'Cherry blossom, rose petal and freshly dug beetroot mingle into notes of raspberry preserves and Maraschino cherries in this perfumed blend of grapes from six plots within the walled Clos Marey-Monge monopole vineyard. A powerful but vibrantly cut expression of Pommard, it's packed with luscious red fruit lifted by streaks of redcurrant acidity and firm, fine-grained tannins. There's a lot of aging potential in this wine but it's also lovely in youth. 97/100' Wine Enthusiast

The Whisky.Auction team has inspected this lot and found it to be suitable for sale. However, please note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing. We cannot guarantee that the contents of this bottle will be free from the effects of age, cork taint, oxidation or other faults. Older bottles often contain sediment. Wines are more fragile than spirits and older wines may be listed, at our discretion, for their historical interest rather than their drinkability. We can in no way guarantee that they are still within their plateau of maturity or to the buyer’s taste.
This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
