A bottle of 1999 Condrieu La Doriane White Wine produced by winemaker E Guigal at Château d'Ampuis.

'The 1999 Condrieu La Doriane emerges from Guigal's own vineyard, which he crop-thinned twice to lower yields. A stunning Condrieu, it offers intense aromas of peaches, apricots, and bananas, as well as a long, multilayered, rich, full-bodied palate with exquisite purity and intensity.' 94/100 points Robert Parker.

Please note, received wisdom is that Condrieu is an unusual fine wine style generally best-consumed within four to eight years of release, though others enjoy them for their developed ‘secondary’ characteristics which come with additional bottle age.
