Description

A bottle of 2002 Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru Morgeot, Monopole Clos de la Chapelle, Domaine du Duc de Magenta, made by Louis Jadot.

Morgeot is the largest Premier Cru vineyard in Chassagne-Montrachet, and is located at the southern end of the appellation, where it covers over 58 hectares , including 20 'lieux dits' vineyards. The Morgeot name originates from the Latin for boundary, as the vineyard is at the extreme of the Côte-d'Or administrative department.
