Description

A bottle of 1982 Collis Breclemae Ghemme from the Piemontese Cantalupo winery, located in the hills of Novara, north of the Po valley, south of the Alps. This is made using Nebbiolo (known locally as 'Spanna') alongside a small proportion of local grape varieties.

Collis Breclemae is one of three Cru bottlings from Cantalupo, made from a selection of old vines in the best sections of the vineyards.

Condition

Please see images for fill level and label condition. Note extensive damage to the label.

The Whisky.Auction team has inspected this lot and found it to be suitable for sale. However, please note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing. We cannot guarantee that the contents of this bottle will be free from the effects of age, cork taint, oxidation or other faults. Older bottles often contain sediment. Wines are more fragile than spirits and older wines may be listed, at our discretion, for their historical interest rather than their drinkability. We can in no way guarantee that they are still within their plateau of maturity or to the buyer’s taste.

This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
