This bottle was kindly donated by Corte Vetuso Mezcal for The Cream Of The Crop Charity Auction in aid of Equal Measures.
Made with his own 15 year old Sierra Negra, this extremely limited batch of just 58L was hand-crafted by Don Isidro Damian in the village of Sola de Vega, Oaxaca. True to tradition, the agave were harvested, cooked underground, hand-mashed with a wooden mallet and left to ferment naturally. The resulting tepache was then double-distilled in tiny clay pot stills, yielding an exquisite mezcal that is bold, rich, earthy and complex.
Batch size: 58L / 80 bottles (this is bottle number 48)
