Taittinger remains one of the few Champagne Houses to be owned and actively managed by the family named on the label. Its origins date back to 1734 when the original house was founded by Jacques Fourneaux. The Taittinger link was established in 1931 when Pierre Taittinger, the founder of today’s company, acquired the House. Today, the Reims based House is headed up by Pierre’s great grandchildren Vitalie and Clovis, both of whom are actively involved in the day to day running of this thriving family Champagne House.

Taittinger Prestige Rosé takes its striking colour from the addition of still red wine produced from the best Pinot Noirs from Montagne de Reims and Les Riceys, which is added to white wine before fermentation. This ‘l’addition’ method gives a lovely depth and vibrancy to the colour as well as consistency and quality. Three years of ageing on the lees brings complexity and roundness. Pretty in pink. Lifted aromas of soft red fruit, including raspberry and wild strawberry. Smooth, elegant and fruity with crisp acidity, a long finish and even more luxurious from jeroboam.
