Description

A 300cl jeroboam of C.V.N.E. Imperial Gran Reserva 2015.

C.V.N.E. is a family run company founded by Eusebio and Raimundo Real de Asúa in March 1879 in Haro, Rioja. The Real de Asúa brothers’ aim was to capitalise on the flourishing new trade in wine and over 140 years later C.V.N.E. is still under the stewardship of the direct descendants of the founding family, now in its fifth generation.

Imperial is one of the great names of Spanish winemaking. A true classic, it was first produced in the 1920s. It is only made in vintages that the company classifies as excellent. A richly deserved reputation as one of the finest Riojas since it was first produced, this beautifully elegant blend of Tempranillo, Graciano and Mazuelo is a favourite of collectors worldwide. When carefully cellared, it will age wonderfully, evolving in interest and complexity for decades.
