This experience was kindly donated by Balfour Winery for The Cream Of The Crop Charity Auction in aid of The Drinks Trust to support drinks industry employees.
Your day begins at 11am with a private transfer from Marden train station where you will be met by one of our Balfour Ambassadors who will be your personal guide throughout your visit.
Upon arrival at the winery, enjoy a glass of our signature Balfour Brut Rosé on the upstairs terrace overlooking Nannette’s Vineyard.
The Balfour Ambassador will show you hidden areas of the estate not available on other tours. You’ll be provided with an in depth insight into Balfour's viticulture practices, its woodland and wildflower conservation programme and the wonderful wildlife and nature that live on the 400 acre Estate, creating Balfour's own ecosystem with vast biodiversity.
After the tour you will visit the state of the art winery where you will be given a comprehensive overview of the winemaking and production techniques used for Balfour's still and sparkling wines. This will be followed by a very special tutored tasting with the winemaker, in the owner’s private tasting room. You will be guided through a selection of Balfour's premium wines giving a truly unique insight into its winemaking skill and craftsmanship.
Following your tutored tasting, relax and enjoy a delicious, seasonal three course lunch expertly prepared by the resident chef. Each course will be paired with a glass of wine specially selected by head winemaker, Fergus Elias.
To conclude your experience, you will be transferred to The Tickled Trout in West Farleigh for a luxurious overnight stay and a delicious English breakfast.

As an agricultural business and working winery, a programme of spraying is in place throughout the year. Whilst every effort is made to not disrupt the tours or detract from our guests’ enjoyment, there will be times when it is not possible to walk the Estate due to spraying. Guests are encouraged to call the Winery in advance.
Harvest time at Balfour Winery lasts for several weeks during September/October. During this time, it is not possible to enter the winery production area and therefore any tours that include this element will differ from the advertised description. In this event, a film of the Winemaker and production process will be substituted and a discretionary credit will be offered.
