A bottle of 1970 Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru from Pierre Gelin. Mazis-Chambertin is the northernmost grand cru vineyard in the Côte de Nuits, covering just over 9 hectares of vineyard on the upper slopes of Gevrey-Chambertin.
Pierre Gelin is a leading producer in the small village of Fixin with 32 acres in the village and nearby Gevrey-Chambertin.
