A bottle of 2002 Opus One, a red wine from Napa Valley, California, produced and bottled by Robert Mondavi and Baron Philippe de Rothschild. The 2002 is a blend of A blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot, 3% Malbec, 3% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot.
'The 2002 Opus One is a big step up from the 2001. Freshly cut flowers, juicy raspberries, anise and sweet spices literally jump from the glass in an Opus One that is all about opulence and huge, voluptuous fruit. Juicy, vibrant and impeccably balanced, the 2002 is firing on all cylinders today. The creamy, layered finish is simply impeccable. This is a fabulous showing.95/100' Antonio Galloni, Vinous.Com, tasted 2013
