Description

A bottle of Krug 1998 vintage Champagne; an unusual blend for the house of 35% Pinot Noir, 46% Chardonnay and 19% Pinot Meunier.

Krug was founded by Joseph Krug in 1853. It is based principally in Reims, the main city in France’s Champagne region, and is one of the famous Champagne houses that formed part of the Grande Marques. Today, the house is majority owned by LVMH, but despite this, the Krug family is still actively involved in all the key decisions of the house.

Described by Wine Spectator as 'the full package' and awarded a score of 98/100 in 2012.
