A bottle of Dalmau 2012 from Marques De Murrieta produced in Logroño, Spain.
Established in 1852, Murrieta is one of the oldest and most respected bodegas in Rioja Alta, renowned for its concentrated and long-lived wines. The 2012 Dalmau is a blend of 70% Tempranillo, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Graciano harvested from an old single vineyard located at an altitude of 465 metres known as the Canajas plot, with the wine matured in new 225 litre barriques for 19 months prior to release.

The Whisky.Auction team has inspected this lot and found it to be suitable for sale. However, please note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing. We cannot guarantee that the contents of this bottle will be free from the effects of age, cork taint, oxidation or other faults. Older bottles often contain sediment. Wines are more fragile than spirits and older wines may be listed, at our discretion, for their historical interest rather than their drinkability. We can in no way guarantee that they are still within their plateau of maturity or to the buyer’s taste.
This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
