Description

A 50cl bottle of Vinsanto 2004 produced in the island of Santorini in Greece by SantoWines. This was produced using sun dried Assyrtiko and Aidani grape varieties, matured for three years in oak barrels and bottled in 2009.

The tradition of Vin Santo is an old one and there are several theories as to how it came to be named as Holy Wine. One theory holds is that it relates to the timing of the fermentation of Vin Santo grapes around Easter.
