A bottle of Frapin Cuvée 1888 Premier Grand Cru Cognac. This bottling pays homage to founder Pierre Frapin, who in 1888 was preparing for the World Fair in Paris, at which Frapin won a gold medal for his Cognac.
This expression is created from some of Frapin's oldest brandies, some distilled before 1888, and many of which were made from the Folle Blanche grape variety, which is no longer used for Cognac. The crystal decanter from Cristalleries Royales de Champagne is decorated with a 24 carat gold thread and stopper, and is housed in a leather case.
This is decanter number 1068.
