A bottle of Fonseca Guimaraens Single Quinta 1986 Vintage port, bottled in 1988 in a wooden presentation box with a decanting funnel.

Fonseca created their Guimaraens label in the early 1950s in a response to increased market demand for vintage ports. Essentially Guimaraens is a 'second wine' from undeclared vintages, produced from the same three Fonseca quintas in the Cima Corgo which are principally responsible for the backbone of Fonseca’s vintage ports in fully declared years. As a house the wines are known for their power, structure, and long-lived vibrancy of fruit.
