A 37.5cl bottle of Tokaj 2003 5 Putnovy Tokajsky Vyber from Slovakia. The Slovak wine region of Tokaj is permitted to use the name on its labels provided that Hungarian quality control regulations are adhered to during production.
Five puttonyos is equivalent to 125 kilos of botrytised grapes added to a 136-litre barrel of base wine: enough to give the resulting wine a richly luscious character whilst maintaining good levels of natural balancing acidity.
