Description

A 50cl bottle of 1979 Tokaji Aszu 3 Puttonyos bottled by Tokajhegyalja State Winery and exported by Monimpex.

Tokaji is made from shrivelled, noble rot affected grapes, known locally as Aszú, that are fermented in vats of young wine or fermenting must, with the resulting wine measured by levels of residual sugar per litre. 3 Puttonyos indicates a sweetness level of at least 60 to 90 grams per litre of residual sugar, although this classification, along with the slightly sweeter 4 Puttonyos, was removed in 2014.

This Monimpex Tokaji Aszu 3 Puttonyos 1979 sold at our online auction for £28
