A bottle of Bollinger 1966 Vintage Brut Champagne, a blend of 75% Pinot Noir and 25% Chardonnay.
Champagne authority Richard Juhlin awarded this 97 points when he tasted it in 2002, describing it as, 'monumental, almost statesmanlike vintage. A that time there were grapes from the non-grafted vines from Aÿ and Bouzy in the vintage wine, something that is actually quite noticeable. The wine expresses Aÿ Pinot at its very best....the nose actually resembles mature La Tâche from DRC. The attack is enormous, despite the wine's meaty structure and rich fruit.'
The label carries a royal warrant by appointment to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
