A bottle of the first vintage of Cruz de Alba Finca Los Hoyales 2012 from Ribera del Duero in Spain. This is 100% biodynamically-farmed Tempranillo from a 1.8 hectare plot of 53 year old vines, and won a Gold Medal in Decanter magazine's World Wine Awards competition:

'A polished nose of ripe red fruits, toasty notes and mineral hints. The palate is concentrated with spice, game and fruit compote with a vegetal edge. Pretty and elegant, this wine evolves in the mouth with a juicy finish and a long life ahead of it. 96/100'
